Your invoice data stays in your browser

Everything you type into the invoice form — your details, your client's details, line items, amounts, and any logo you upload — stays on your own device. It is never sent to our servers and we never store it. If you save a draft, it is saved in your browser's local storage, on your machine only. Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently, and we cannot recover it for you.

What we actually collect

We do not run our own tracking, and we do not build user profiles. Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical request logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested) for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to identify individuals.

If you email us, we obviously receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use it only to reply to you.

Advertising

Invoicara is free because it is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads on this site.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ad Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at www.aboutads.info. You can also read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Analytics

We do not currently run a third-party analytics product such as Google Analytics on this site. We do look at aggregate search statistics that Google Search Console reports to us about how the site performs in search results, which contains no personal information about individual visitors. If we add an analytics tool in future, we will update this page before doing so.

Cookies

The cookies set on this site come from our advertising partners, as described above. We do not set our own tracking cookies. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings, and blocking them will not stop the invoice generator from working.

If you are in the EEA or UK (GDPR)

Where we process any personal data, our lawful basis is either your consent (for advertising cookies) or our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working. Where consent is required for personalised advertising, it is collected through a consent mechanism before those cookies are set, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time.

You have the right to request access to any personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because we do not run accounts or store your invoices, in most cases we simply hold nothing about you. To make a request, email us at the address below.

If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell or share personal information in the way those terms are defined under California law, and we do not collect the categories of personal information that would let us identify you. California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. To exercise any of them, email us at the address below.

Children

Invoicara is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the most recent change, and material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
